Winner of the eJournal Club Submission for March/April 2024 announced

Congratulations Dr Greg Douglas

Congratulations to Dr Greg Douglas who submitted the winning review for the March/April 2024 round of the eJournal Club. Dr Douglas’s submission was a review of a journal article about a Dual Antiplatelet Therapy Versus Aspirin in Patients With Stroke or Transient Ischemic Attack Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials. You can Dr Douglas’s article here (PDF, 116.2 KB).

Dr Greg Douglas is a first year BST trainee who studied in South Africa and has been in Ireland for the last two years. He is now based in Tallaght University Hospital with his sights set on doing cardiology.

He chose this article as it represented really high-quality data for an ever more common medical condition that has translated to a shift in medical practice in recent years. Practising evidence-based medicine is a priority in a rapidly changing medical landscape.
