We offer both Basic and Higher Specialist Training Programmes in Pathology, giving you the opportunity to train to a high level in the specialty of your choice.
If you are registered on the Supervised, General or Specialist Division of the Irish Medical Council Register, you are required to be enrolled on a Professional Competence Scheme. This section will guide you through the process and help you maintain your professional competence.
We offer a Professional Competence Specialist Division Scheme in Pathology for those who hold Irish Medical Council registration in a corresponding pathology specialty.

Trainees in Pathology can now become Associate Members of the Faculty. This membership category was established to facilitate better communication between the Faculty and trainees, as part of the Faculty’s strategy to engage with practitioners in pathology at all stages of their careers.
