The pioneering Trainees of the RCPI Management Fellowships
On 4 September, a special ceremony took place at No. 6 Kildare Street conferring the latest graduates of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) Management Fellowships.
The RCPI Management Fellowships offer Trainees on a Higher Specialist Training (HST) programme the opportunity to work full-time for a one-year period in the firm to gain practical business, management and leadership experience in a healthcare context. The programme is delivered in partnership with PwC Ireland and EY Ireland.
In its third year, the Management Fellowships were awarded to six Trainees, a 50% increase on the first cohort in July 2001.
At the ceremony, RCPI President Dr Diarmuid O’Shea addressed the graduates: “You don’t need me to tell you that we live, train and practice medicine in a world today where expectations are very high.
“The rapidly changing medical fields – ground-breaking research, tailored drug therapies, technological advances, evolving artificial intelligence – require innovative thought and inspiring leadership. These new fellowships arm you with additional skills and thought processes that make you our modern-day pioneers in medicine,” he said.
Congratulations to our RCPI Management Fellowship Trainees:
