Royal College of Physicians Awards First Management Consulting Fellowships

Congratulations to Dr Judi Lynch and Dr Barra Neary

The programme, which sees RCPI partner with PwC, offers doctors in Higher Specialist Training the opportunity to work full-time for a one-year period as a management consultant to gain practical business and management experience in a healthcare context.

The Fellowships were awarded to Dr Judi Lynch and Dr Barra Neary, the first recipients of the Management Consulting Fellowships, at a special ceremony on 13 October 2022.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Terry McWade, CEO of RCPI said:

“This Fellowship is a new innovation in our training programme designed, in partnership with PwC, to give participants practical business leadership and management experience within the healthcare sector which will be invaluable in their future careers. There are 3 Trainees on the current RCPI Management Consulting Fellowship with PwC and we will shortly be announcing an expansion of this programme with EY to facilitate wider experience for doctors in leadership in our college and other postgraduate medical training bodies.”
