RCPI Senior Leadership attend Arab Health Expo in Dubai
Last month, RCPI Senior Leadership attended the Arab Health expo in Dubai. The event is one of the largest medical conferences in the world, bringing together healthcare representatives from the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the United States.
The conference, now in its 50th year, took place at Dubai World Trade Centre between 27-30 January.
At the event, RCPI CEO Ms Audrey Houlihan met with the Ambassador of Ireland to UAE, Ms Alison Milton, and had the opportunity to speak of the college’s work providing training opportunities to doctors in the Middle East.

As part of the conference, government agency Enterprise Ireland hosted a panel session focused on postgraduate medical education titled: ““Clinical leadership to meet the challenges of healthcare environments.”
RCPI Director of Healthcare Leadership, Prof Trevor Duffy, participated in the panel session. Other contributors included Irish College of General Practitioners CEO Mr Fintan Foy, and Dr Kristina Brown (Lecturer in Management and Organisations, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland).

Senior Leadership also connected with over 30 alumni of RCPI, at an event in the Vida Emirates Hills Hotel.
Ms Houlihan said: “We value the opportunity to engage with our alumni, members and fellows and to enhance our commitment to partners in the region.”
