RCPI holds inaugural Trainer Conference at No 6 Kildare Street
The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland opened its doors to welcome its valued trainers to No 6 Kildare Street 9 December 2022 for the RCPI Inaugural Trainer Conference.
The event took place in celebration of our trainers’ dedication in sharing knowledge and experience and offered a space to network, and share ideas and experiences of being a Trainer in the current climate of the Irish Health Service.
Speaking at the conference, Prof Mary Horgan, President of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, said:
“As an RCPI Trainer, you have a vital role in delivering the very best postgraduate medical education across training sites in Ireland. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your invaluable contribution. Your dedication in sharing your knowledge, and experience, enables RCPI Trainees to advance their skills, competence, and professionalism throughout their careers and deliver quality patient care.”

The event also included two breakout workshops for those attending in person and virtually. The workshops covered the themes ‘Managing the distressed Trainee’ and ‘Using learning conversations to promote a growth mindset.’
