Faculty of Occupational Medicine launches new strategy

The Faculty of Occupational Medicine has launched its new strategy, Advocating for the Value of Occupational Health in Ireland 2023 – 2026.

The aim of our strategy is to enhance understanding of what Occupational Health is and its importance and relevance to the health and well-being of our nation.

The strategy lays out an action plan to empower and mobilise Occupational Health Professionals, as well as business and government stakeholders, to explore opportunities for access to better and more equitable occupational health to meet changing global demands.

The strategy was launched by Dr Robert Ryan, Dean of the Faculty, Ms Zoe Healey, Associate Partner at Dotio Health and Prof Ken Addley, Chair of the Faculty Advocacy Subgroup, at the home of the Royal College of Physicians at No 6 Kildare Street. The strategy was also welcomed by Tánaiste Leo Varadkar via video message at the launch event.

Speaking at the launch, Prof Ken Addley said:

"It is our call to action to work with our membership, the college, and all of the other stakeholders. Let's take advocacy for Occupational Health seriously and let's take it forward together."
