eJournal Club submission winner announced

Congratulations Dr Luke Harris

Congratulations to Dr Luke Harris who submitted the winning review for the September/October round of the eJournal Club. Dr Harris' submission was a review of a journal article about the clinical outcomes of intensive inpatient blood pressure management in hospitalised older adults. You can read Dr Harris' winning submission here. (PDF, 131KB)

A graduate of UCC, Dr Harris is currently in his second year of Basic Specialist Training at Galway University Hospital. He intends to pursue a career in Nephrology via RCPI's Higher Specialist Training. He chose the journal article as it addresses a clinical scenario frequently encountered by medical Trainees, and it provides an evidence-based approach to its management. It is also relevant to his chosen career interests in Nephrology.

Following his eJournal Club win, Dr Harris is now in the running for the prestigious Kate McGarry Prize which includes an award medal and a €1,000 educational grant.
