The Internal Medicine programme offers a comprehensive training experience divided between in busy Dublin hospitals, ensuring that trainees receive a well-rounded exposure to the field. Trainees are required to complete a minimum of three out of five core Internal Medicine rotations, including Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatric Medicine, and Respiratory Medicine; however, most trainees typically complete all five rotations.

Achieving the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI) is a requirement for the successful completion of the programme. In addition, trainees have the unique opportunity to pursue an elective in their chosen specialty during the last six months of their training, subject to agreement with the Program Director and training site. This structure is designed to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their medical careers. 

This programme is currently open to Saudi Nationals who meet the following criteria: 

• Hold a primary medical degree completed in English 
• Have completed or are near completion of a structured internship 
• Possess provisional sponsorship from a government body affiliated with RCPI 
• Demonstrate an appropriate level of clinical experience 

Before starting in post you must have:

• Successfully passed MRCPI part 1 
• Met the English language requirents, IELTS of 7 with no band lower than 6.5 or OET B
