About the Faculty of Public Health Medicine

The Faculty of Public Health Medicine is dedicated to improving public health through excellence in education, training, and research. As the national professional body for public health specialists in Ireland, the faculty plays a crucial role in shaping health policies, preventing disease, and promoting health equity. Its internationally recognised training programmes equip doctors with the skills to analyse health data, develop evidence-based interventions, and respond to global and local public health challenges. Sponsored international fellowship Trainees will benefit from expert mentorship, hands-on experience in Ireland’s public health system, and opportunities to contribute to impactful health initiatives in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

Curriculum

We offer a 3 year-programme, the first of which is a Masters Programme in Public Health Medicine.
