About the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists

The Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is the national professional body responsible for advancing standards in obstetrics and gynaecology in Ireland. It is responsible for training, education, and professional development for doctors specialising in women’s health. As part of the RCPI International Clinical Fellowship Programmes, the Institute offers world-class training opportunities for trainees, which provide hands-on clinical experience, exposure to advanced medical practices, and mentorship from leading specialists in the field, helping to develop highly skilled professionals committed to excellence in the specialty.
