Important: If you are an RCPI trainee please note, some of our examinations dates might clash with your tutorials, please bear in mind this when booking your examination.

Any exam candidate working in Ireland can apply for a refund upon successfully passing an exam, under the HSE Clinical Course and Examination Refund Scheme.

MRCPI Obstetrics and Gynaecology Part II Written

Applications are now open

Applications for MRCPI O&G Part II Written examination on 6 March 2024 are now open and will close on 8 January 2024 at 5 pm.

O&G Part II Written is held online, via remote invigilation.

We do NOT allocate for this exam based on application date, it is NOT first come, first served.

If the number of applications for this exam exceeds the number of places available, we will prioritise doctors on our Basic Specialist Training programme and those with only one attempt left followed by those who have applied multiple times and have not been offered a place yet. 

IMPORTANT : READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR THIS EXAM

ONLY apply for this examination if you are eligible and are in a position to sit the exam. Please see our cancellation and deferrals policy before applying for this exam here

We will only accept applications that include ALL of the following:

  • An attested* copy of your primary medical degree. Only original parchment Diploma copies will be accepted, no transcripts. 
  • A copy of your Part I or equivalent qualification. For MRCOG Part I, you will need your official Part 1 Pass letter. For FCPS and others, you will need the official parchment Diploma, pass letters are not accepted.
  • A testimonial form completed and signed by two referees. Download blank testimonial form (PDF, 26KB)

If your degree is not in English you must attach an official translation of the same together with your medical degree. Official translations will only be accepted if they have been prepared and/or authenticated by:

  • The issuing university or medical school
  • An Irish or British Consulate
  • Your embassy or High Commissioner

*Your primary medical degree can be attested by:

  • An Garda Siochana (Irish police force)
  • The issuing university or medical school
  • A solicitor/ notary public/ lawyer
  • A Commissioner for Oaths
  • An Irish or British Consulate
  • Your embassy or High Commissioner

We will not accept attestations by Doctors.

Failing to provide the above information may result in your application deemed invalid so please make sure you provide ONLY the required documentation.

All our Written examinations are now delivered via Remote Invigilation instead of at a physical examination centre. Please find all the information about it here. Read carefully before applying.

  • Verifications are usually completed up to three weeks after the closing date for applications.
  • If places in this examination should become limited and the number of applications for this exam exceeds the number of places available, priority will be given to doctors on our Basic Specialist Training programme first.
  • Results are sent via email up to four weeks after the exam date.
 

MRCPI Obstetrics and Gynaecology Part II Clinical | International

Applications are now closed

Applications for the MRCPI Obstetrics and Gynaecology Part II OSCE/Clinical Examination on 21 & 22 February 2025 in Muscat, Oman are now closed.

Place allocations for the OSCEs will be completed when all applications have been verified. This may take up to two weeks after the applications closing date. All candidates will be contacted with an update to their application status at that stage. If you are successful, you will receive an email with a confirmation of your exam place and the link for payment.

Places in the O&G Part II OSCE/Clinical are limited; therefore, we may not be able to offer a place for every candidate who applies. If we can’t offer you a place in the initial rounds, you will be placed on a waiting list and you will be offered a place if one becomes available.

It is the responsibility of each candidate to ensure the visa application is made according to the requirements and in sufficient time before the examination date. The College has no role in granting or refusing visas. We cannot offer a transfer or a refund of the fee if you are unable to attend the examination because of a visa-related issue.

The next O&G OSCE/Clinical exams are scheduled for May 2025 internationally and in Ireland. We will publish more information of the 2025 exams on our website in due course

Applications are now closed

Applications are currently closed.

The next O&G OSCE/Clinical exams in Ireland are scheduled for May 2025. We will publish more information of the 2025 exams on our website in due course.
