The next MFPHMI Part I examination will take place on 23 and 25 April 2025 online via remote invigilation (RI). The applications are now open and will close on 5 March 2025. Please use the application link below if you wish to register for this exam.

Please note:

• MFPHMI Part I examination is held once a year online, via remote invigilation. Candidates may sit the exam anywhere in the world, provided they have a reliable internet connection. Read more about Remote Invigilation. 
• Note: a "rest day" between Day 1 and Day 2 was introduced in 2024. 
• The results are communicated to the candidates via email between 8-10 weeks after the exam.

The next Part II sitting will take place on 15 April 2025. The applications are now open and will close on 26 February 2025 at 5pm Irish time. The closing date for applications is also the deadline to submit public health reports and the supporting documents. Click on the registration link below to get access to Brighspace and start the application process.

Further information:

The College is transitioning most of the Part II MFPHMI exam process to the Brightspace platform. This change will mean that all public health reports will be uploaded directly to Brightspace by candidates in advance of the sitting of the Part II examination. The plagiarism checking process using Turnitin tool will now also be undertaken via the Brightspace platform. Uploading of the supplementary documents and paying the examination fee will remain as is via the RCPI online application which is provided in Brightspace.

The exam application process is complete when candidates upload their PHRs into Brightspace which will generate a Turnitin Similarity Report & register for the exam by submitting an online application, uploading the supplementary documents and paying the examination fee by the closing date for applications. If these steps have not been completed by the closing date for applications, candidates will not be permitted to take the exam. 

The October 2024 sitting of the Part II exam included a pilot of the Turnitin process. The formal examination of the Turnitin similarity report as part of the examination process will be formally implemented from the April 2025 sitting.

• Verifications are completed up to two weeks after the closing date for applications. Candidates will be also contacted by an exams coordinator with further information approximately a week before the exam date.

There is an additional sitting of the Part III examination which will take place on 17 January 2025, in No.6 Kildare Street, Dublin. Candidates, who have been allocated a place, have been contacted by the RCPI Exams Department. 

The next Part III examination will take place on 17 June 2025, in No.6 Kildare Street, Dublin. Applications will open on 16 April 2025 at 12pm Irish time and will close on 28 May 2025 at 5pm Irish time. 

Note: the numbers for Part III are increasing and since it is only possible to accommodate 6x candidates at one sitting, first come first served basis will operate from 2025 (based on applications received) and a waiting list will be introduced. This will be discussed further by the Committee in 2025 to agree on the overall approach.
