The RCPI Research Committee provides oversight and collaboration across the six Institutes and Faculties supporting the strategic direction of research in the College in all areas. This includes development and review of policies related to research according to best practice principles. These include:
These policies aim to support high-quality research across the College.
A review of the current status of internal research and broader national research policies to guide best practice will also be undertaken, as overseen by the committee. This includes policies focusing on:
- Gender equality and EDI
- Open publishing
- Data sharing
- Public and patient involvement
