Dr Mike Boyle - Fellow and Library & Heritage Committee Member
Dr Mike Boyle was appointed a consultant neonatologist in the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin in 2016. His particular areas of interest are newborn infants with neurological issues, infants with surgical conditions and the care of the extremely preterm infant. He graduated from University College Dublin in 2004, completed his Higher Specialist Training in Ireland before further training in the UK. He has a keen interest in education, particularly teaching cranial ultrasound to trainee neonatologists and is one of the National Speciality Directors for the Irish Higher Specialist Training scheme for Paediatrics at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland since 2019.
Prof Mary Higgins - Fellow and Council Member
Prof Mary Higgins is an elected Fellow on the RCPI Council. Originally from Kildare, Mary graduated from University College Dublin and completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Ireland, with membership and then fellowships of the RCPI and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK).
Following an MSc in University of Oxford she gained further research experience by a MD (Diabetes) from UCD. She gained experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine in Toronto, Canada and returned to Ireland to her current post, as Associate Professor in University College Dublin and a consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist in the National Maternity Hospital.
Within RCPI, she is Chair of the Examination Board for the MRCPI (O&G) and the Board of the Postgraduate Certificate in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Geraldine McGinty - Honorary Fellow
Dr Geraldine McGinty is a graduate of the University of Galway and currently serves as Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. She holds academic appointments in the departments of Radiology and Population Health Sciences. A member of the Governing Authority of the University of Galway, she also serves on the board of 4D Medical, a digital imaging company and formerly served on the board of IDA Ireland.

Dr Eimear Duff - Trainee Representative
Dr Eimear Duff is one of the Trainee Representative on Museum Board. She is currently a Specialist Registrar in Dermatology at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. She is a medical graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and has a Master of Business Administration at Trinity College Dublin.

Brian Crowley is employed by the Office of Public Works as collections curator for Kilmainham gaol and the Pearse Museum. He is a former chair of the Irish Museums Association.
Dr Oisín Wall - External Advisor
Dr Oisín Wall is a lecturer at the School of History and Radical Humanities Laboratory in University College Cork. He was formerly the Research Curator of Medicine at the Science Museum, London. His research focuses on the histories of marginalised communities in modern Ireland and Britain.
Dr Carole Pollard - External Advisor
Dr Carole Pollard is a Fellow, Past President and current Council Member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland. She is a board member at Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services where she chairs the Capital Committee. She is a member of An Bórd at the National College of Art and Design and sits on the NCAD Campus Development Advisory Committee.
Eleanor Flew - External Advisor
Eleanor Flew is the Director of Fundraising and Communications with Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services; Harold’s Cross, Blackrock & Wicklow. Eleanor has previously worked for Focus Ireland and UNICEF Ireland. Prior to the not-for-profit sector, Eleanor worked in advertising across a diverse range of industries including technology, FMCG, retail, telecom, and charity.
Sean Benton - External Advisor
Sean Benton served as Chairman of the Office of Public Works from 2002 to 2009 and as Commissioner from 1996 to 2002. As Chairman he had lead responsibility for the completion of major capital projects for the National Museum, the National Gallery, the National Convention Centre, the National Opera House and many other iconic buildings throughout the country.
He has extensive experience in the areas of Finance, Project Management, Public Procurement and Strategic Planning.

Sheila Gallagher - CFO
Sheila Gallagher is Chief Financial Officer at RCPI. She joined the College in January 2019 and is responsible for the strategic financial management and growth of RCPI. Sheila has over twenty years’ experience in governance, financial management, organisational change, strategic planning and business development. A former Director for a number of years in RTÉ, Irelands National Broadcaster, Sheila is a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and a holds degree in Business and Finance from DCU.
Siobhán Creaton - Director of Communications and Public Affairs
Siobhán Creaton is Director of Communications and Public Affairs at RCPI. She leads RCPI’s engagement with the media, the public and with Government. Siobhán has successfully led initiatives such as the public affairs and advocacy campaigns for the introduction of new public health legislation, works with the National Immunisation Advisory Committee and is RCPI’s representative on bodies such as the Vaccine Alliance and Alcohol Health Alliance.
Before joining RCPI, Siobhán was Director of Communications at the Department of Education and Skills and was a Special Advisor to the Minister for Education. She also worked as a journalist, broadcaster and author.
